GigaBlox Nano – 1 Inch GigaBit Ethernet Switch

The GigaBlox Nano is a tiny (26 × 26 × 8 mm), ultra-compact unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet switch that provides four full-speed 10/100/1000 Mbps ports on a single PCB weighing just 18 g. It features a non-blocking Layer 2 switch fabric capable of delivering simultaneous gigabit throughput on all ports. Powered by a wide voltage input range of 5 V to 60 V (65 V absolute maximum), the board draws approximately 260 mW at idle and up to 900 mW under full load. It supports transformerless Ethernet using capacitive coupling—ideal for systems with a shared ground—or can be adapted for transformer-based Ethernet via optional daughterboards. Connectivity is modular, with ports and power accessible through a stackable Samtec Razor Beam header. This allows for integration with custom I/O boards, such as the PicoConn or RJConn configurations. The switch also includes features like auto-MDI-X crossover and auto-negotiation for plug-and-play setup. With an operating temperature range of 0 °C to +70 °C and storage range from –40 °C to +120 °C, GigaBlox Nano is built for robotics, drones, embedded systems, and other SWaP-constrained designs. An NDAA-compliant version is also available, identical in hardware but using a trusted supply chain.
