SPEBlox-Long (10BASE-T1L) - 10Mbps, 1km range, single pair ethernet

The SPEBlox‑Long is a compact, rugged single‑pair Ethernet media converter that bridges standard 10 Mbps Ethernet to the industrial 10BASE‑T1L standard, enabling communication over a single twisted pair of copper wire up to 1 km. The board is just 31 mm square, draws approximately 0.5 W, and operates from a wide 5–60 V supply. It features a screw terminal for the single‑pair link and a PicoBlade header for connection to standard Ethernet, and includes an embedded microcontroller for transparent, low‑configuration operation. Designed for environments where lightweight, long‑distance data connections are needed—such as underwater robot tethers, factory networks, or remote instrumentation—SPEBlox‑Long offers a straightforward and cost-effective solution. The board supports optional passive Power over Data Line (PoDL), allowing power injection over the same single pair, with board variants available that achieve approximately 610 m range at around 30 V and about 0.1 A output.
